Kalgoorlie Assay Laboratoryis our largest laboratory, as well as being
our technical and administrative base.
Located just off Great Eastern Highway in West Kalgoorlie,
K.A.L. boasts the widest range of analytical services available
anywhere in the Goldfields.
Major investment in cutting-edge technologies has
equipped this laboratory to cater for mining and exploration companies
pursuing Gold, Nickel, Silver, Tantalum and Rare Earths. Analysis
at the ppb and even ppt levels can now be done efficiently and
promptly by using K.A.L's ICP-OES, ICP-MS and XRF instruments.
Most of our group's research and development work
is conducted at K.A.L. in conjunction with nearby mining and mineral
processing sites.
This laboratory also features three
totally separate sample preparation areas; one each for PPB Geochemical
Exploration, Normal Exploration and Grade Control.
We also have the ability to segregate one of our sample preparation
areas for the processing of hazardous samples. .....

The Kalgoorlie Assay Laboratory
has a large staff and includes some highly skilled and very
experienced analytical staff:
Wayne is a very capable
and experienced laboratory manager, having been
with our company for over ten years.
He has established and operated analytical laboratories
in many parts of the world, including the USA.
Wayne brings with
him a wealth of analytical and managerial skills
and experience. He also is dedicated to promoting
a safe working environment and Leonora's record
stands in testimony to this.
Wayne's forte is running
high-volume laboratories, with an absolute commitment
to quality.
Ever the innovator, Wayne takes every opportunity
to improve the facilities and systems at every laboratory he has managed.
Glynn
joined Kalassay with extensive experience in laboratory
management.
Glynn was previously
the Laboratory Manager of ALS Chemex in Kalgoorlie
for 10 years. This role encompassed the analysis of
gold for both grade control and exploration and helped
commission their metallurgical facility in 1997. Prior
to this, Glynn was employed by Analabs (now SGS) in
Kalgoorlie for over 10 years, holding a number of
senior positions.
Glynn's recruitment
to Kalassay has added to the depth of management resources
at the Kalgoorlie Assay Laboratory and has significantly
increased the laboratory's capacity to meet client
requirements.
His main forté
is in the realm of fire assay and laboratory logistical
management. He has also worked in Nullagine, Mount
Magnet and Tennant Creek.
Glynn is an Associate of the Royal Australian Chemical
Institute and Member of the Association of Exploration
Geochemists.
Glynn is a qualified Soccer
Referee and an active member of Kalgoorlie's "other"
footballing community.
